MOKANE LIONS FALL FESTIVAL DERBY RULES AND REGULATIONS:

                                                  2015 COMPACT DERBY RULES

MUST be 16 years or older to be in the Pit area **NO EXCEPTIONS**
**
110 inch wheel base must be front wheel drive, no rear whee drive
**
$25.00 Car entry fee, includes Drivers Pass
**
CHECK IN WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 PM.
   Participant Rules:
  PLEASE READ ALL RULES** IMPORTANT**
**
All persons MUST sign Pit entry form, insurance waiver, release form BEFORE entering the Pit Area
**
No one is allowed in the race area under the influence of liquor, possession of alcoholic beverages in the pit area will result in
loss of pit priviliges
**
All hoods will be opened at check in and the trunk must be open
**
All drivers must be 16 years or older, and MUST be able to provide proof of age at the request of a MOKANE LIONS MEMBER or
person(s) putting on Derby.  Drivers under the age of 18 MUST have a legal guardian sign a Minor Wavier and Release Form
**NO EXCEPTION**
**
Automobile Body Regulations:  MUST be front wheel drive only
**
Passenger Cars (MUST HAVE TYPE CAGE)
**
No Trucks, Jeeps, Hearses, or Limousines
**
Car previously run in a demolition derby may install a new front clip  
**
Towards the rear of the car no welding or reinforcing will be allowed past rear axle center line, no over welding of frames
**
Stock gas tanks may be mounted in the rear seat area and secured by existing seat belts or added metal straps..  May leave gas
tank in stock if located in front of rear axle.
**
No chains or rubber straps or round bottom tanks
**
A Marine (boat) tank is recommended
**
All tanks must have a secure cap
**
All lines and fittings must be leak proof and meet the approval of the MOKANE LIONS CLUB or person(s) putting on the Derby
**
Electric fuel pumps are permitted but MUST have shut off within reach
**
Fender and bumper ends may be trimmed to allow for wheel clearance.
**
No special bumpers will be allowed, late model bumpers must remain as manufactured, except on late model stock bumper
**
A short piece of chain may be installed from bolt on frame to bolt on bumper
**
All factory holes in bumpers must remain opened for inspection
**
You may run Chevy bumpers on Ford and run Ford bumper on Chevy etc
**
Bumpers must be opened for inspection, no sealing bumpers up
**
If installing a different bumper other than manufacture on the car, the plate my not exceed six (6) inches long
**
Hoods must have 2 holes at least 4 inches in diameter, on each side of carburetor not directly on top of carburetor
**
If hood is removed, either fan blade must be removed or an belt must be cut
**
Cars must remain stock (ie Chevy on Chevy Ford on Ford, Dodge on Dodge, and Pontiac on Pontiac
**
All cars must have front doors painted white with black numbers, your choice 1 thru 100
**
No other writing on these white doors
**
Special numbers will be allowed subject to the approval of the MOKANE LIONS CLUB or person(s) putting on the Derby
**
Absolutely no profanity will be allowed  to be displayed on any portion of the car, remember there will be kids and families present.
**
All glass must be removed (side windows, head and tail lights)
**
Drivers MUST wear an approved face shield
**
Rear seats of sedan must be removed
**
Station wagons:  All seats and decking must be removed
**
Station wagons: Must be emptied to the floor boards
**
All cars must be swept clean both drivers compartment and truck.  No spar tires, broken glass or trash etc.
**
All cars must have approved seat belts, secured to or around frame.  Safety a MUST
**
Battery must be securely fastened and covered in the front seat passenger floor board
**
Only one automotive type battery is allowed
**
Any type automotive radiator may be used, but it must be mounted in stock position
**
Drivers option, they may compete without radiator, but must run on water in the block only
**
No reserve tanks allowed
**
All doors may be welded and reinforced.  Towards the front of the car, no welding or reinforcing will be allowed past six inches in
front of the door
**
An unlimited amount of wire, light chain and a maximum of 50 bolts may be used in securing hoods, trunks, and or tailgates, but
all such devices must be installed at the Derby site after vehicle inspection
**
All wire, chain, or cable must be mounted outboard of radiator
**
Two (2) pieces of all thread maximum O.D. 3/4 inch may be used on the trunk of the car
**
Bodies may be bolted to frame
**
Two(2) pieces of 3/4 inch O.D. all thread mounted outboard of radiator and 6 additional bolts mounted at drivers choice, outside
no weld marks
**
Wire or light chain may be used on 8 places on the car outside the no weld marks
**
No half and half, if you choose to use bolts no wire, and if you choose to use wire NO bolts
**
Suspension must remain strictly stock
**
All cars must have some give or bounce, NO stiff suspension
**
Screw in spring risers or blocks may be allowed at the discretion of the OFFICIALS
